Of course, one cannot rule out the possibility that some of the reports are outdated. I would guess that the fascinosa would then most likely wobble. In addition to the Toscana and Smeralda, a third comparatively large ship would be needed in the western Mediterranean (either pacifica or at least fascinosa).
But if there are 4 in Northern Europe, then Warnemünde has a good chance of being considered again. Possibly together with Stockholm. But if Warnemünde is called more often by Costa again, then it could
In theory, Aida could also withdraw a ship from Warnemünde and station it in Greece, for example. There are already first movements in the diva in winter 2024/25. The fact that she stays in the Mediterranean and possibly goes to the Eastern Mediterranean together with the Bella while the blu goes to Northern Europe is no longer so far-fetched.
If 4 Costa ships really do come to Northern Europe, then the following would be expected:
Tuscany 7 days WMM
Smeralda 7 days WMM
Diadema 7 days Norway from Kiel Fri/ Copenhagen Sat
Fascinosa 12/ 9 days Norway/Baltic Sea from Kiel (Thu and Tue), possibly without the Baltic Sea
Favolosa Amsterdam/ Bremerhaven
Pacifica 7 days WMM
Serena Warnemünde/ Stockholm Baltic Sea 7 days?
Magica Taranto/Valletta Greece 7 days?
Fortuna 7 days ömm Trieste ?
Deliziosa 7 days Marghera ömm
They have already moved the southern Italy, Malta and Greek islands tour from Bari to Taranto (even worse located), which is why either a small ship (magica/fortuna) is used instead of the pacifica or it is omitted entirely. I still can't imagine that they only want to station one ship in the Adriatic. The second ship there would then be the second of the magica class. But that all depends on the fact that both magica and fortune are not wiped out.
Costa has no more bookable trips for the Fortuna from April 2023. There is still radio silence for the magica and the Serena is not scheduled to go into service until autumn/winter 2023 after almost 4 years of standstill, of which two years could be completely avoided. It is definitely not a sign of healthy business to have three intact ships remaining idle, even though the pandemic restrictions are over. Much more creativity and courage is required.
