Aber, ihr habt das Schiff nicht verpasst!! Er muss eh, vor unserer Alle Mann, seine Fähre erwischen. Und wir sind schon am Ende der Tour in Kirkwall.

Mitfahrer gesucht! Wir werden eine Tagestour mit Key Thomson von Exquisit Schottland am 27.07.2023 in Kirkwall mit dem folgenden Programm unternehmen:

Maximal 8 Leute , die Tour ist auf Deutsch.

Gurness Broch* (2.000 jährige Festung), Brough of Birsay - Engstelle zwischen den Inseln mit Pfad, der bei Flut überflutet wird, Earls Palast (der Palast des bösen Grafs), Skara Brae* (5.500 jährige Siedlung), Skaill Haus, Yesnaby Klippen (eindrucksvoll - bis 80 m hoch), Stromness (schönes historisches Hafenstädtchen), Unstan Grab (4.500 Jahre alt) oder Maes Howe* (5.500 jähriges Grab), Stenness Steinkreis (5.000 Jahre alt), Ring of Brodgar - Steinkreis mit 104 m Durchmesser, die Kathedrale von St Magnus, Kirkwall Stadtmitte.

Preis ohne Essen und Eintrittskarten: €120 p.P. mit €20 Ermäßigung für Schulkinder, Picknick inbegriffen bei schönem Wetter.

Ich habe ihm mitgeteilt, dass wir erst um 10 Uhr anlegen in Kirkwall. Er meint, die Entfernungen auf Orkney sind ziemlich klein und je nach Wetter können wir etwas verkürzen. Wir sind alle Engeln, so das Wetter wird gut sein.

Mein "Trolley" hat die richtigen Maßen und wiegt nie mehr als 8 kg, weil ich das Ding manchmal tragen muss. Da drin sind Medikamente und ggf Wertsachen, die nicht in den Laderaum gehören. Diese super dicken Trolleys gehören gar nicht ins Fach überem Sitz

Also, ich würde mich auch darüber wundern. Ich buche fast nur Vario und habe nur bei einer sehr kurzfristigen Buchung, zweiundhalb Wochen vorher, das gehabt. Mann! Da wird man kribbelig. Ich hoffe, du kriegst die Zuteilung vorher!!

Wir waren noch nicht in Seydisfjordur. Niermit sehen wir auch etwas von der Landschaft. Es sind noch Plätze frei. Kleine Gruppe. Abholung um 9:10. Schaut mal 'rein!

Aber, jetzt! Ich sage euch...Reisefieber! Ich wollte auf 2 neue Tours von Key Thomson von Exquisite Scotland aufmerksam machen. Sie stehen noch nicht auf seiner Website. Wir wollen '"Into to great wide open" Tour machen. In YouTube haben wir Szenen von dieser Gegend angeschaut und das sieht sehr interessant aus .

Die Whaligoe Steps sind etwas Tolles, aber ohne Geländer und alles uneben. Nichts für mich .

This is a tour for wilderness lovers, passing through the world famous Flow Country. Flow comes from an old Norse word meaning “empty”.

The Struie Road, Dornoch Firth viewpoint, the million dollar view, Carbisdale Castle, Shin Falls, Lairg, after then it is wide open spaces mile after mile through Strath Vagastie with many photogenic mountains ( Bens Klibreck, Loyal, Hea and Hope to name but four) and lochs until we reach the North Coast at Tongue, where we take in Castle Varrig, stronghold of the MacKay clan, and the spectacular causeway crossing the Kyle of Tongue, then Eastwards along the North coast to Bettyhill with its salmon station and fabulous view of the golden beach of Torrisdale Bay. Then South through Strathnaver and into Strath Kildonan, scene of a gold rush in the 1880s, and then either Glen Loth where herds of deer are usually visible or Helmsdale, with its poignant monument to the people driven from their homelands during the Highland clearances, then back along the NE coast road to Invergordon, passing by the Clynelish distillery, Carn Liath, Dunrobin Castle, Loch Fleet for its resident seal population and the picturesque town of Dornoch if time permits.

This is a tour for lovers of coast and cliffs.

Tain (Scotland’s first royal burgh), the picturesque town of Dornoch, Loch Fleet for its resident seal population, passing by the Clynelish distillery, Carn Liath, Dunrobin Castle, then through Helmsdale with its poignant monument to the people driven from the homelands during the Highland clearances, from here the clifftop scenery starts to become really spectacular, the Hill o’ many Stanes, the Whaligoe Steps - 330+ steps down to a picturesque harbour, Wick with the shortest street in the world, John o’ Groats then Duncansby Head - the true NE extremity of the Scottish mainland with its magnificent Stevenson lighthouse, views to the Orcadian archipelago and breathtaking sea stacks, sea birds and cliffs. Possibility of visiting the Castle of Mey* and the Camster Cairns on the way back. The road back to Invergordon is pretty much the same as the road North, but it usually looks completely different due to the change in perspective.

Nee, ichhabe nichts mit Passage distille eingestellt. Ggf auf seiner Seite sind Distille dabei. Ich habe mit Schottischen Wiskeys nicht zu tun. Ich trinke Rum - pur!!! Rum wird nicht in Schottland distilliert.....
