Mit 'Anfordern ' meinte ich schon freundlich nachfragen. Mit netter Kommunikation kommt man immer weiter. Und wenns nichts gibt, auch nicht schlimm. Hauptsache wir haben wieder ein paar schöne Tage.

Hallo liebe Mitreisenden, da die Tour Mumbai zu Fuß bei AIDA ausgebucht ist, haben wir uns bei Mumbai Magic für die Mumbai Local Tour angemeldet, die sehr gut bewertet ist. Wir werden direkt am Port abgeholt. Hat noch jemand Interesse, sich uns anzuschliessen, dann bitte Nachricht per PN.
Hier die Details
For passengers arriving via ship, we offer Mumbai Local with pickup/drop from the docks.

In the past we have had several no-shows from ship passengers because they have found it difficult to get to the start point of the tour (there are some not-so-nice taxis outside the docks that took them on a wild goose chase to shops). So now we make sure we pickup our customers from the docks. We will apply for dock passes at the agent’s office in a different part of the city a week before you arrive.

The tour works like this:
9:30 am – pickup at the docks, transfer to Gateway of India
10:00 to 2:00 – Mumbai Local tour
2:30 p.m. drop back at the docks

The total cost of the tour is as follows:
Rs 3000 per person for 7-8 people
Rs 3500 per person for 4-6 people
Rs 4500 per person for 2-3 people

The price includes:
• Meet and greet at the docks, inside, where the ship berths, by our English-speaking representative
• Appropriate paperwork/passes for vehicle and driver for pickup from inside the docks
• AC Transport from/to the docks
• Driver with cell phone
• Student guide for the tour
• Local transport – bus, taxi, train
• Lunch at a popular local restaurant (please note, it is vegetarian)
• Entrances to Gandhi’s home
• Illustrated handouts
• Bottled water
• All taxes
The guides for the Mumbai Local tour are a group of youngsters, we run the tour in partnership with Akanksha Foundation, a non-profit that works in childrens’ education. As part of Mumbai Magic's social commitment, we have hired and trained 5 teenagers from Akanksha's education programs to be guides. A portion of this tour's proceeds go to Akanksha. Another portion goes to the guides, to help finance their college studies. This tour is part of an ongoing mentorship program that I run for young adults. The next stage in the program is office training, we teach computer skills etc as well. The idea is that if we upskill kids at the age of 16-20, then by the time they graduate, they are fit for more well-paying jobs thus raising their family income into a different league. You will enjoy meeting the guides, they are exceptional girls.

The guides receive fees from us for the tour. Tipping is not essential but is usually the norm in India for good service received. If you are happy with the tour, the girls would be happy to receive a tip and so would the driver.
