@Elsa ohje Ich hoffe du bist wieder komplett gesundet. Wirklich verstehen kann ich das leider auch nicht, aber ich denke es wird nicht auf jedem Schiff gleich sein.
Wie oben auch steht, jedes Bot / jedes Personal ist anders. natürlich hofft man gutes /offenes Personal zu haben, aber leider ist das wie in jeder anderen Branche auch - Nicht jeder ist immer gut Drauf.

Von der Aida gibt es tatsächlich kaum Angebote für Alleinreisende.
Aber ansonsten ist allein reisen eigentlich nicht das Problem. Gibt meins Wissens bzw. nach den Erzählungen meines Bekannten gute Reiseanbieter für so etwas.

Anschluss an sich findet man Gott sei Dank immer.
Und ggf. muss man einfach versuchen so mit den Nachbarn / "Mitbewohnern" das zu regeln, bzw. dass diese einem eben Tee oder so kurz vorbei bringen.
Wie die meisten von uns hier ja entsetzt waren, sind sicherlich viele dabei die gern helfen.

Karkala, Moodbidri, Local Bazaar and Farm Visit

In this tour we will go on a drive to Karkala and Moodabidri, two sleepy towns situated around an hour’s drive from Mangalore. The drive is interesting once you leave the port behind, and you will see many coconut trees, arecanut trees, etc.

Between the 14th and 16th centuries, this area near Mangalore became a great centre of learning and pilgrimage for members of the ancient Jain faith. In Karkala the giant statue of Gomateshwara attracts Jain pilgrims from far and wide. It is on top of a hill and provides panoramic views of the countryside. In Moodabidri, we will visit the famous 1000-pillared Jain Temple dedicated to Chandranatha. This is the largest Jain temple in coastal Karanataka, with richly carved pillars; and no two pillars in this temple are alike.

We will also visit the local bazaar at Moodbidri, which has visitors from the surrounding areas, buying fruits, vegetables, spices, clothes, food items and other items of daily use. It is a nice way to see daily life in this part of the country.

This area of Mangalore is known for its pineapples and other tropical fruits. We will visit a working fruit farm with a bamboo grove. We will walk through the farm, learn about the various spices, trees, fruits and other products grown at the farm. You can taste their famous pineapples if you wish, and take a restroom break. They also offer spices for sale if you would like to buy some.

Plan for the day:
·Pickup from docks at 9:00 a.m.
·Transfer to Karkala 1hr 15 mins, drive to the top of the hill to see the Jain Gomateshwara Statue and views of the green countryside
·11:00 to 11:20 transfer to Soans Farm, visit the farm
·12:00 am transfer to 1000-pillar temple (15 minutes), visit the temple and the local market at Moodbidri
·1:30 p.m. depart back to docks by 3:30 pm (you can bring sandwiches or snacks from the ship to eat on the ride back)

Notes: Please bring an extra pair of socks as shoes are not allowed in the temples, and the temple stone flooring can be hot in areas exposed to the sun. September is the tail end of the monsoon season, so hot stone floors may not be a big problem for you. However it may rain (although probably not much). Please wear sensible footwear accordingly. An umbrella would be useful protection from both sun and rain. Soans Farm has clean toilets. Please bring packed sandwiches and snacks from the ship to eat on the drive back.

Cost: The pricing is as follows:
Rs 13,500 using a Toyota Innova car (Max 4 Persons)
Rs 19,500 using Tempo Traveler (Max 8 persons)

Mangalore City Exploration

We will begin with a visit to Kadri Manjunatha Temple, which is more than 1000 years old. This temple, built in the 10th / 11^th century, has several sacred bathing tanks which people visit before praying. You can see the Mangalore-style tiled roofs and courtyards for an understanding of traditional temple architecture of the area.

Next, we will visit a grand modern temple in Kudroli dedicated to Gokarnatha, founded by the great social reformer Sri Narayana Guru, who rejected caste-based differences promoted the idea that all people are equal before God. The temple complex is large, showing diverse influences, with many interesting legends displayed. It includes a marriage hall.

After visiting these two temples, we will drive through the city centre, seeing the streets and daily life in the city. Our next stop is the Central Market wholesale bazaar, where agricultural produce (fruits and vegetables) from the surrounding countryside is brought each day for sale.

From the market, we will go to Saint Aloysius Chapel, which remains even today, a unique case of Italian art in India. Built by the Jesuits in 1890, the chapel was painted by the Italian Jesuit Antonio Moscheni, and attracts thousands of visitors every year.

For lunch we will visit a specialty restaurant to taste the famous Mangalore cuisine (you can have either seafood or meat-based or vegetarian lunch, depending on your preference). You can read more about the cuisine here.

After lunch, we will visit a cashew processing factory. India is one of the leading producers, processors and exporters of cashews in the world, accounting for 65% of the world’s exports.

Folgende Sehenswuerdigkeiten koennte ich Ihnen am ersten Januar zeigen und zwar :
1) Das "Gateway Of India " und das danebenstehende beruehmte Hotel " Taj Mahal" ( Spaziergang ).
2) Der Hauptbahnhof " Victoria Terminus" ( Neuer Name " Shivaji Terminus" ).: Fotostop oder Besuch je nach Ihrem
Wunsch.
3) Die grosse Markthalle " Crawford Market", besonders wenn Sie Gewuerze kaufen moechten.
4) Das beruehmte " Mahatma Gandhi Haus" ( Besuch. )
5) Den schoenen Hindu-Tempel vom Gott Krishna Besuch.).
6) Die sogenannten " Haengenden Gaerten"( Spaziergang ) und
7) Die groesste open-air, traditionelle Waescherei in Mumbai. ( von einer Bruecke anzuschauen.)
8 und 9) Das schoene Uni-Gebaude ( Mein Arbeitsplatz : Dort bin ich

India entfernt. Das Motorboot bis dahin braucht eine gute Stunde, Diese
Faehre kostet 180/- ind. Rupien p. P. Der alte Tempel dort steht auf
einem Huegel, man muss 120 Stufen steigen. Der Tempeleintritt ist
500/- indische Rupien pro Person. Der Tempel ist montags immer
geschlossen. Der zweite Januar 2017 ist Montag. An dem Tag habe ich
eine offiziele Fuehrung, leider. Ich werde Ihnen aber waerend unserer
Tour auch einen sehr schoenen Hindu-Tempel zeigen. Bei meiner
Privattour uebernehme ich die Bezahlung der Eintrittskarten fuer den
Bahnhof und Gandhi-Haus.

An Board wird das sicher nicht verboten sein.
Ich denke das wird ähnlich gehandhabt wie zb das Thema Alkohol. Ist in den VAE auch verboten - einzig Hotels machen die Ausnahmen. An Board von Aida kriegst auch Alk.

WIr hatten das übers Reisebüro gemacht - da wir bis dato keine Erfahrung mit Visum hatten.

Habe gestern im Reisebüro angerufen, es scheint aber wohl alles in Ordnung zu sein und er meinte er müsste diese Woche die Pässe/ Visum erhalten.

Wohl nicht habe nämlich erst versucht eine Mail zu schreiben und habe eine Fehlermeldung bekommen mit der "alten" Email.

Wir hatten auch Panik...
Musste noch den Pass beantragen und Visum... aber Reisebüro meinte wir sollen uns nicht stressen, das geht auch noch nach den 4 Wochen.
Das sei nur damit AC nicht alles auf einmal bearbeiten muss.

Würd mich freuen wenn ihr mir Tipps gebt - was man allgemein Beachten muss (Währungstausch, Medikamente)
und ganz speziell Tipps was Ausflüge betrifft.

Versuche hier zwar durch zu blicken, aber ganz so einfach ist das noch nicht.
Eigentlich sind wir keine typischen Bus-Touris... Was das ganze etwas erschwert ;D
