Von Paypal kam gleichzeitig eine Zahlungsaufforderung, die ich dann auch getätigt habe.

Wir haben geantwortet, dass wir die Tour mit der deutsch sprechenden Kollegin gerne machen wollen und weitere Infos bzw. Bestätigung angefordert.
Bisher ist noch nicht geantwortet worden.
Bitte meldet euch da bei Interesse, damit die Tour stattfindet.

Altenativ würden wir auch hier gern bei Nichtzustandekommen der Tour mit einem anderen Paar eine Taxitour in Mumbai machen.

Hallo zusammen,

wir sind auch noch auf der Ausflugsuche für New Mangalore und Marmugoa.

Magic bietet hierfür noch jeweils private Touren mit einem englisch sprachigen Guide bei gestaffelten Preisen (je nach Anzahl) an.
Man muss selbst die entsprechende Anzahl z.B. hier im Forum zusammen kriegen.

1.New Mangalore


OPTION - I
Karkala, Moodbidri, Local Bazaar and Farm Visit
In this tour we will go on a drive to Karkala and Moodabidri, two sleepy towns situated around an hour’s drive from Mangalore. The drive is interesting once you leave the port behind, and you will see many coconut trees, arecanut trees, etc.
Between the 14th and 16th centuries, this area near Mangalore became a great centre of learning and pilgrimage for members of the ancient Jain faith. In Karkala the giant statue of Gomateshwara attracts Jain pilgrims from far and wide. It is on top of a hill and provides panoramic views of the countryside. In Moodabidri, we will visit the famous 1000-pillared Jain Temple dedicated to Chandranatha. This is the largest Jain temple in coastal Karanataka, with richly carved pillars; and no two pillars in this temple are alike.
We will also visit the local bazaar at Moodbidri, which has visitors from the surrounding areas, buying fruits, vegetables, spices, clothes, food items and other items of daily use. It is a nice way to see daily life in this part of the country.
This area of Mangalore is known for its pineapples and other tropical fruits. We will visit a working fruit farm with a bamboo grove. We will walk through the farm, learn about the various spices, trees, fruits and other products grown at the farm. You can taste their famous pineapples if you wish, and take a restroom break. They also offer spices for sale if you would like to buy some.
Plan for the day:
· Pickup from docks at 9:00 a.m.
· Transfer to Karkala 1hr 15 mins, drive to the top of the hill to see the Jain Gomateshwara Statue and views of the green countryside
· 11:00 to 11:20 transfer to Soans Farm, visit the farm
· 12:00 noon transfer to 1000-pillar temple (15 minutes), visit the temple and the local market at Moodbidri
· 1:30 p.m. depart back to docks by 3:30 pm (you can bring sandwiches or snacks from the ship to eat on the ride back)
Notes: Please bring an extra pair of socks as shoes are not allowed in the temples, and the temple stone flooring can be hot in areas exposed to the sun. September is the tail end of the monsoon season, so hot stone floors may not be a big problem for you. However it may rain (although probably not much). Please wear sensible footwear accordingly. An umbrella would be useful protection from both sun and rain. Soans Farm has clean toilets. Please bring packed sandwiches and snacks from the ship to eat on the drive back.

Cost: The pricing is as follows:
Rs 13,500 using a Toyota Innova car (Max 4 Persons)
Rs 19,500 using Tempo Traveler (Max 8 persons)

Inclusions: English-speaking escort, AC transport, driver with cell phone, fuel, parking charges, tolls, entrances, bottled water, all taxes.
Excludes: Entrance ticket Rs 200 extra per person for Soans Farm, meals, insurance, tips.
OPTION - II
Mangalore City Exploration


We will begin with a visit to Kadri Manjunatha Temple, which is more than 1000 years old. This temple, built in the 10th / 11^th century, has several sacred bathing tanks which people visit before praying. You can see the Mangalore-style tiled roofs and courtyards for an understanding of traditional temple architecture of the area.
Next, we will visit a grand modern temple in Kudroli dedicated to Gokarnatha, founded by the great social reformer Sri Narayana Guru, who rejected caste-based differences promoted the idea that all people are equal before God. The temple complex is large, showing diverse influences, with many interesting legends displayed. It includes a marriage hall.
After visiting these two temples, we will drive through the city centre, seeing the streets and daily life in the city. Our next stop is the Central Market wholesale bazaar, where agricultural produce (fruits and vegetables) from the surrounding countryside is brought each day for sale.
From the market, we will go to Saint Aloysius Chapel, which remains even today, a unique case of Italian art in India. Built by the Jesuits in 1890, the chapel was painted by the Italian Jesuit Antonio Moscheni, and attracts thousands of visitors every year.
For lunch we will visit a specialty restaurant to taste the famous Mangalore cuisine (you can have either seafood or meat-based or vegetarian lunch, depending on your preference). You can read more about the cuisine here.
After lunch, we will visit a cashew processing factory. India is one of the leading producers, processors and exporters of cashews in the world, accounting for 65% of the world’s exports.
Plan for the day:
· Pickup from docks at 9:00 a.m.
· Transfer to Mangalore 30 mins, visit Kadri Manjunatha and Kudroli Gokarnatha Temples
· 11:30 to 1:00 Visit the Central Market wholesale bazaar for fruits and vegetables, and Aloysius Chapel
· 1:00 to 2:00 Lunch at a specialty restaurant to taste the famous Mangalore cuisine (you can have either seafood or meat-based or vegetarian lunch, depending on your preference)
· 2:00 to 3:00 - transfer to Cashew processing factory (30 mins), and tour of the cashew processing (30 mins)
· Drop to docks by 3:30 p.m.
· If you would also like to visit the flower market on Car Street, or the fish market, please let the guide know and they will add it to your tour.

Cost: The pricing is as follows:
Rs 13,500 using a Toyota Innova car (Max 4 Persons)

2.Marmugoa

OPTION I - SPICE PLANTATION, TEMPLES AND BEACHES
What this tour is about:This is a relaxed day out at a local spice plantation, with an opportunity for both children and adults to interact with elephants.
In this tour, we will pick you up from the docks/your hotel and take you to visit a spice plantation in Ponda (about 30kms south-east of Panjim).
The various spices grown here include Black pepper Cardamom, Nutmeg, Vanilla, Cinnamon, Cloves, Chillies, Coriander, etc. The staff at the plantation will take you around and give you an introduction to these various spices. You will also see Goa's typical tropical trees like Cashew, Areca nut (Betel nut) and palm trees. Tropical Fruit like Star fruit, Jack Fruit, Custard Apple, Bananas, Papayas, Pineapple and Citrus Fruits are also seen. Various local birds are also sighted at the plantation.The plantation also offers elephant rides and elephant bathing. They also serve a traditional Goan lunch in their open area restaurant This area of Goa also has many temples, so if you are interested you can visit the Mangeshi Temple (please dress modestly for temple visits).
How it works: Full day tour, starting and ending from the docks
After breakfast leave ship at 10:00 a.m.
Drive 1 hr 15 mins to spice plantation
1 hr plantation tour
Post lunch visit temple in village based on your interests and available time
Later visit the beaches
Return to ship by 4:00 p.m.

The price we charge includes pick up from inside the docks and drop (air-conditioned transport), driver with cell phone, fuel, parking charges, tolls, English-speaking guide, personalized tour itinerary, entrances to the spice farm, lunch, bottled water, illustrated handouts (English), and drop back at ship.

There is elephant bathing and elephant rides at the farm, but this really depends on availability and it is not guaranteed. You can pay directly for elephant rides if interested. The rides cost approximately Rs 600 per person and the bathing costs approximately Rs 600 per person

OPTION II - GOA PAST AND PRESENT
What this tour is about: This is a tour of Panjim (the current capital of Goa), combined with a visit to ‘Velha Goa’ or Old Goa (the previous capital). The tour covers some of the popular tourist must-see’s in Goa, including a heritage walk in the interesting Latin quarter of Panjim. It also includes a visit to a temple, as well as a vibrant and colorful traditional bazaar to experience the bustle of daily life in Goa.

Background: Goa was among the most important centres of the ancient and medieval world, trading in calico, spices, precious metals and many other goods. It has been under various Hindu dynasties for most of its history, with a brief period under Muslim rulers. When the Portuguese arrived in Goa, it was under the Muslim Bahmani empire. The Portuguese defeated the Bahmanis and conquered Goa in 1510; thus beginning 450 years of Christian rule. This rule ended when in 1961, the Indian army marched into Goa, and overthrew the Portuguese. These historical events have left their mark on Goa, influencing not only religion and architecture, but also the language, dress, cuisine and lifestyle of Goans. On this tour, you will see not only Goa’s interesting monuments, but also its diverse cultures.

What the tour covers:
The tour includes the following (there will be a break for lunch in between):
- A drive to the top of a hill for a panoramic view of Goa. Here, our guide will show you the layout of the land, highlighting the rivers, islands, transport systems, and providing an overview of life in Goa.
- A visit to the churches of Old Goa, the “Rome of the East”, which was the administrative seat of the Portuguese. We will visit Se Cathedral (the seat of theArchbishop of Goa), and the Basilica of Bom Jesus which contains the body of Saint Francis Xavier, the Jesuit missionary who was canonised in 1622.
- A brief walk through the heritage district of Fontainhas – this is a residential area, the Latin quarter of Panjim where the traditional colourful houses of the Catholic and Hindu community are still preserved. Here you will see the original fountain after which the area was named. Life in this old quarter still continues its sleepy ways.
- Bazaar walk through the bustling Panjim fish and vegetable market – this is a large colourful market where you can see all sorts of interesting things on offer, including household wares, spices, fish, meat, vegetables and many other goods. It’s a great way to see daily life in Goa!
Other ideas:
- A visit to a Hindu temple to see the local architectural styles and prayer rituals. Hindus form the majority of the Goan population (around 70%), and the temple is a good way to see the “inner life” and rituals of this community.
- If you are interested, you can also visit a popular local beach in Goa, before being dropped back at the ship.
- Those interested in museums may visit the Museum of Christian Art in Goa or the State Museum.
- If you would like to go shopping for handicrafts, please let the guide know.

Duration: We suggest that we pick you from at the ship at 10:00 a.m. and drop you back after the tour around 4:00p.m. and cover as much as we can in the duration available, based on your interests. This is a private tour and open to modifications.

Hallo zusammen,

wir haben über just-aida-first-minute gebucht und uns wurde jetzt diese Reise zugeteilt.
Wir fliegen am 24.1 ab Ddorf.

Als Nächstes möchten wir das Visum über www-igcsvisa.de beantragen.
Wer kennt sich damit genau aus? Gibt es hierzu eine genaue Anleitung? Anreisedatum etc.....?

Wir möchten soviel wie möglich auf eigene Faust machen und würden uns gerne entsprechend anschliessen.

Hallo,

wir( m+w 2x52 u. 2 Töchter 15+16) sind relalativ unerfahren, knapp dran und suchen noch jede Menge Infos speziell für Touren auf eigene Faust, da uns die Ausflüge über Aida zu teuer sind.
Wir kommen aus dem Münsterland und wissen auch noch nicht, ob wir per Zug oder Auto nach Hamburg fahren ( wegen Parken)
