Star Cruises to homeport in Kaohsiung
Taipei: Star Cruises has announced its plans to homeport in Kaohsiung this year with its two cruiseships, SuperStar Aquarius and SuperStar Virgo.
The two cruise ships will offer 32 Asia-focused voyages from Kaohsiung, with an estimated 60,000 passengers onboard.
SuperStar Aquarius will dock at Kaohsuing in March to start its homeport season, and SuperStar Virgo will be dual-homeported in Kaohsiung and Hong Kong.
There were 28 cruise voyages of Star Cruises in and out of Kaohsiung in 2014, accounting for 60% of the total cruise voyages in the southern Taiwanese city, according to Wu Hong-mo, deputy mayor of Kaohsiung. [04/02/15]
